The Setup
Tongits Go is played by 3 players using a standard 52-card deck. The dealer distributes 12 cards to each player, keeping one card for the draw pile. The dealer starts with 13 cards and discards one to begin the game.

Forming Melds
Players aim to form valid melds — sets (three or four cards of the same rank) or sequences (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit). Melds can be laid down on the table during your turn to reduce your hand's point value.

Drawing and Discarding
On each turn, a player draws from the central pile or picks up the last discarded card (if it completes a meld). After drawing, the player must discard one card face-up. Strategic discarding is key — you don't want to give your opponents useful cards.

Calling "Tongits"
A player wins by emptying their hand completely — this is called "Tongits" and is an automatic win. The winning player collects the pot from all other players.

Draw and Challenge
If the draw pile runs out, the player with the lowest total point value in their remaining hand wins. Any player can also call a "fight" (challenge) at any time — all players reveal their hands and the lowest score wins.

Card Values
Number cards are worth their face value. Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10 points each. Aces are worth 1 point. The goal is always to minimize the total point value of cards remaining in your hand.
